We won
recognition
Now, we build

In September 2025, after an overwhelming show of faculty support, MSU formally recognized UTSF as the exclusive representative for tenure-system faculty and continuous-system librarians.

Now our elected leaders, representatives, and members are building a democratic union with the strength to make lasting change.

Good
questions

Who is UTSF?

UTSF is us: tenure-system faculty and librarians across MSU. We are an inclusive, democratic union formed and led by the people it represents.

Why does membership matter?

All bargaining-unit faculty benefit from a contract, but members shape priorities, elect leaders, vote on agreements, and build the collective strength that wins meaningful change.

When do dues begin?

Local dues begin only after members ratify a first full contract. Members will decide together on a fair local dues structure.
